The President has signed an Executive order to implement the January 2024 pay adjustments. Effective January 1, 2024, the Executive Level II salary was increased to $221,900. 

Grant Applications:

Effective immediately, when preparing budgets for all grant applications to NIH/AHRQ, and any other agency limiting salary to the Executive Level II salary cap, applicants should employ this new cost cap for all personnel with a base salary over $221,900.

Award Management:

All awards received with a start date on or after January 1st should employ this new cost cap for all personnel with a base salary over $221,900. For awards with active periods both before and after January 1st (i.e. 7/1/23 – 6/30/2024) it is highly recommended that departments prorate salary, employing the $212,100 salary base prior to January 1st and $221,900 salary base after that date.
